It is my pleasure to announce the 2026 Society of Engineering Science Medalists and Fellows. The honorees will be recognized at the Banquet during the 2026 SES Annual Meeting to be held at Purdue University in West Lafayette on Oct 11-14, 2026.  

Several PhD positions are being opened in my group (Mechanics of Materials), with focus on

1. Martensitic transformations: Atomistic modelling and theory;
2. Dislocations in multi-component alloys;
3. Multi-scale modelling of fracture.

The European Mechanics of Materials Conferences (EMMC) is a series of bi-yearly meetings organized under the auspices of the European Mechanics Society (Euromech), which has taken place over the last 25 years in cities such as Paris, Warsaw, Gothenburg, Brussels, Nantes, Oxford, and Madrid.
