NC State Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering has a tenure-track faculty opening in AI/ML. Applications are encouraged from scholars with strong theoretical foundations in AI/ML and engineering principles, who are passionate about solving a broad range of application problems of high societal impact. The department fosters strong collaborative culture, and the successful candidate can expect opportunities to solve wide ranging problems across the many sub disciplines working with various domain experts.
Are you - or someone you know - interested in applying AI and Machine Learning to brain biomechanics? We’re currently seeking motivated researchers to join us through the DigitalFuture Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Stockholm to improve brain health!
It gives me great pleasure to announce the outcome of the 2025 competition for the Eshelby Mechanics Award for Young Faculty. This award is given annually to rapidly emerging junior faculty who exemplify the creative use and development of mechanics. The intent of the award is to promote the field of mechanics, especially among young researchers. The selection committee consisted of: Vikram Deshpande (Cambridge University), Huajian Gao (Tsinghua University), Guruswami Ravichandra (Caltech), Pierre Suquet (CNRS), and Yonggang Huang (Northwestern University).

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (https://engineering.usu.edu/mae/) at Utah State University (USU) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Solid Mechanics and Material Science, especially with regard to strategic structural or functional materials, enabled by critical minerals. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field. Candidates will be considered at either the assistant or associate professor level.
This postdoc is funded through the MURI "Cellular Mechanics and Process Principles of 3D Secretion for Ultralight Multifunctional Materials in Butterfly Wing Scales." The goal of this project is to decipher the biological, physical, and chemical mechanisms that enable living cells to secrete complex hierarchical structures in functional biological materials, specifically butterfly wing scales.
