Master or Phd position in Topology Optimization @ York University, Toronto, Canada

Vacancies exist for high calibre one master or one PhD student to join the Innovative Design and Engineering Analysis Laboratory at York University, starting immediately.
The position’s primary area of research will focus on shape and topology optimization 

Requirement:
- Strong background in numerical simulations, finite element analysis, computational solid mechanics
- Excellent programming skills and experience with high performance computing
- Proficiency in English, good written and verbal communication skills

Professor Ahmed Elbanna from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has been selected to receive the 2019 Journal of Applied Mechanics Award for the paper "On the role of the plaque porous structure in mussel adhesion: implications for adhesion control using bulk patterning", Journal of Applied Mechanics, v 85, #121003, 2018.  The paper is attached.

Faculty Opening at GA Tech: Space Habitat Systems
