Postdoctoral Position in Computational Geomechanics at the University of Hong Kong (HKU)
Dear Colleagues,
Hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and well in this difficult time.
Postdoc Position Available in Atomistic Modeling and Simulations of Nanomechanics and Thermal Science at The University of Virginia
A postdoctoral associate position is available in Dr. Baoxing Xu’s group in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Virginia.
The successful candidate will work on a project related to nanomechanics and thermal transport of materials and functional structures and their coupling with applications in the design and manufacturing of electronic devices and structures.
PhD Positions Available in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Virginia
Funded PhD positions are available in Dr. Baoxing Xu’s group in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Virginia. Educational background in mechanics, mechanical engineering, heat transfer, or nanomanufacturing is necessary. Research skill/experience in computational modeling and simulations is a plus.
Machine Learning for Fracture Mechanics
Safer batteries, more efficient gas-turbine engines and solar cells, all require better-engineered nanocomposite materials. There is a limitation though -- how to investigate the fracture mechanics of these materials? Machine learning can help us overcome this limitation.
