I think it would be useful to collect a list of most useful sites, to start with iMechanica-look-alike. Not exactly similar but a good site for CFD is http://www.cfd-online.com/. This incidentally suggests us some "ways" to improve iMechanica. (see my other blog PROPOSAL for iMechanica node/2996)

I would like to seek a conference paper titled "EPC method for PDF solution of nonlinear oscillators excited by Poisson white noise" in the proceedings of the 18th ASCE Engineering Mechanics Division Conference, June, 2007, Virginia, USA. (CD-ROM). Acutally, I am the second author of the paper and haven't participated in the conference because of no USA visa. So, I have not a copy of the proceedings.
On the Web of Science my name appears sometimes as Suo Z and sometimes as Suo ZG. If I search for Suo Z*, papers by a biologist named Suo ZM mix in. Now Suo is a very rare name. I cannot imagine how Wang JS searches for his papers. Last year Michelle Oyen and I talked about assigning a unique identifier to each researcher, much like assigning an ISBN to each edition of a book, or assigning a DOI to each paper.
I wanna simulate the penetration of the slurry into soil when TBM is used to construct tunnel. Although much more research has been done by experiments,I wanna use CFD to simulate the process which can make it more common and efficient.
For it is very similar to filtration cake physically,I would like to use some results by this.But it is very difficult to sumulate it by the software ANSYS CFD.
Is there some guy who have tried is field?Any suggestion will be appreciated!

The Micromechanics of Materials group in Groningen (the Netherlands) has an opening for a PostDoc to study the adhesion of polymers by meands of Molecular Dynamics simulations. The two-year position is part of a collaborative, multiscale modeling project in which other groups in the Netherlands focus on more macroscopic models.
