Is there any good reference for creep strength of 304 stainless steel at 1000C? I am very curious the behavior of such material at extreme conditions, like creep strength as a function of temp.
Thanks a lot,
Henghua

Unlike other blog-posts of mine, I am not going "own" this particular thread. By that, I mean to say: I am going to only begin this thread and immediately turn it over to you completely. I am not going to watch over whether the discussion here continues to stick to its main theme or not, whether it slides into some minor side issues, whether it deserts the main theme altogether, etc., the way I usually do.

Thank you for all of quick response. Yes, I need a calculation method as long as good agreement with measurment methohs.Generalization will be important in which method we choose espesially in calculation of stress field.
Hi all
I want to Find Books For Non Linear Stress- Strain Curve, which Gives more Idea About the Plastic Region, and terms of Tangent modules(E_t) nad secant modules(E_s)...plz do needful and Reply...

Dear All,
I am modeling rubber seal with hyperelastic material and I am using CAX4R Element for modeling. I achieved contact solution using initial analysis and as an output I got contact pressure and radial and axial displacement of the nodes.
It seems that the measurment of local stress and strain in fatigue crack tip will be difficult. some researcher use F.E analysis method,in contrary using of numerical solution. however analytical method also has investigated. what method you can imagine? i need a brain storm in this issue.
Thank you
Hadi
Hello everybody,
I'm trying to add friction in my model. Now I have a body that is simply supported in a direction (vertical) and free to move in another one (horizontal). I want to use Coulomb friction in the horizontal direction in order to reduce displacements in that direction.
I read Abaqus User's Manual vol5 30.1.5 (frictional behavior) and I followed commands written there, but I think that works only with multiple bodies and not with a single body. I'm using Abaqus 6.7-1.
Could Someone help me?
Many many many thanks
Nicholas
Hi
It sounds simple but I really faced with problem when I tried to make a rotation in a 2D,wire,,analytical rigid body(R2D2) with one end pinned.after analysis the free end doesn't go circular way.
I really appreciate if show me how to solve the problem.
